Meet the Team

Hi! I am a high school junior in California, and I am especially interested in the biomedical sciences, but I love learning about all areas of STEM. In the future, I hope to pursue medicine and work toward reducing healthcare disparities. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing soccer, going on walks with my dog, and spending time with friends. As Co-Executive Director at YPStem, I am excited to expand access to STEM resources for students from all backgrounds and encourage others to explore STEM.

Hi! I'm a High School Computer Engineering student from Nepal with a passion for technology, design, and innovation. I enjoy exploring frontend development and building community-driven projects with my team, Night Owls. As Co-Director of Operations at YPStem, I would be always looking forward in providing guidance towards meaningful opportunities and accessibility of STEM education to learners across the globe.

Hey! I'm Nayan, a student from Nepal with a strong passion for technology, innovation, and creative problem-solving. I'm deeply involved in web development, open-source, and science fiction—constantly learning and exploring new ways to bring ideas to life. As a co-director at YPSTEM, I’m excited to connect with like-minded individuals and use my skills to make a meaningful impact in the STEM community!

Hi! My name is Alekhya and I am 16 year old high school student in Georgia. Im interested in biomedical engineering, psychology, and emergency medicine. In my free time I swim, ice skate, and drive with friends. In the future, I hope to expand healthcare and medicine to isolate communities around the world. I’m excited to collaborate with others and use my experiences for YPstem

I want to be a part of the YPStem team because I want to make an impact on other students like me that are passionate about STEM that don’t have as many resources available to them. I am interested in STEM, particularly medicine because doctors in my life have had huge impacts on me and my loved ones’ lives and I hope to use the same care, knowledge, and passion to impact other people’s lives in the future. So far I have not done too much in STEM, rather than some classes that interest me in school or simply volunteering at hospitals. In the future I hope to become a child psychiatrist. I listen to a lot of different genres of music.

Hey! My name is Nidhi, and I’m a junior in Texas who is passionate about finance, tech, and maybe even a little bit of medicine! I decided to join YPSTEM because I want to make a difference in my community through STEM fields that match my interests. As the Director of Finance, I hope to help manage the organization’s budget, support fundraising efforts, and make sure our resources are used effectively to create the greatest impact possible. In the future, I hope to pursue a career in the business world. A fun fact about me is that I can eat a whole watermelon in one sitting!

I want to be part of the YPStem team because I enjoy being part of a community that encourages students to explore STEM and supports them in reaching their goals. I have always been interested in STEM, especially biomedical engineering, and have gained experience through advanced science and math courses, volunteering in healthcare settings, and participating in STEM organizations. In the future, I hope to pursue a career that combines technology and medicine to improve patient care and healthcare innovation. A fun fact about me is that I love baking and trying out new dessert recipes in my free time!

Hi! I’m excited to be part of the YP STEM team as the Co-Director of Outreach because I’m passionate about making STEM more accessible and inspiring the next generation of students through outreach and mentorship. My interest in STEM, especially computer science, has led me to build apps, participate in hackathons, and serve as the president of my school’s Hack Club, where I enjoy helping others learn and grow. In the future, I hope to continue using technology to create meaningful solutions that make a positive impact in my community. Fun fact: I am left handed :)
